Every figure below comes from sale transactions registered with the Dubai Land Department and dated inside March 2009. Mortgages and gifts are excluded; the register's own record of a sale is the only source.
The Land Department registered 4,007 property sales in March 2009, worth AED 6.63B in total, across 49 communities. That is 168% more than the same month a year earlier.
The median sale was AED 825,000 at AED 717/sqft, 53.4% above the same month last year. 33% of sales were off-plan.
Al Warsan First was the busiest community with 1,120 registered sales, while Palm Jumeirah took the most money at AED 1.38B.
Against the previous month, Palm Jumeirah rose 474% to 580 sales, while Al Thanyah Fifth fell 49% to 579.
