Every figure below comes from sale transactions registered with the Dubai Land Department and dated inside January 2017. Mortgages and gifts are excluded; the register's own record of a sale is the only source.
The Land Department registered 4,468 property sales in January 2017, worth AED 13.80B in total, across 103 communities. That is 12% more than the same month a year earlier.
The median sale was AED 1,196,017 at AED 956/sqft, 16.5% above the same month last year. 44% of sales were off-plan.
Marsa Dubai was the busiest community with 369 registered sales, while Burj Khalifa took the most money at AED 1.49B.
Against the previous month, Burj Khalifa rose 135% to 219 sales, while Al Yelayiss 1 fell 8% to 72.
