Every figure below comes from sale transactions registered with the Dubai Land Department and dated inside 2010. Mortgages and gifts are excluded; the register's own record of a sale is the only source.
The Land Department registered 34,124 property sales in 2010, worth AED 63.21B in total, across 128 communities. That is 46% fewer than the year before.
The median sale was AED 1,059,355 at AED 864/sqft, 2.9% above the year before. 32% of sales were off-plan.
Marsa Dubai was the busiest community with 6,093 registered sales, and also took the most money at AED 12.07B.
Against the previous year, Wadi Al Safa 3 rose 357% to 352 sales, while Wadi Al Safa 5 fell 95% to 111.
