Every figure below comes from sale transactions registered with the Dubai Land Department and dated inside May 2013. Mortgages and gifts are excluded; the register's own record of a sale is the only source.
The Land Department registered 5,729 property sales in May 2013, worth AED 12.88B in total, across 94 communities. That is 73% more than the same month a year earlier.
The median sale was AED 1,272,888 at AED 861/sqft, 10.8% above the same month last year. 10% of sales were off-plan.
Al Thanyah Fifth was the busiest community with 910 registered sales, and also took the most money at AED 1.80B.
Against the previous month, Al Hebiah First rose 87% to 103 sales, while Al Barsha South Fifth fell 65% to 87.
