Every figure below comes from sale transactions registered with the Dubai Land Department and dated inside Q4 2010. Mortgages and gifts are excluded; the register's own record of a sale is the only source.
The Land Department registered 5,203 property sales in Q4 2010, worth AED 10.51B in total, across 93 communities. That is 49% fewer than the same quarter a year earlier.
The median sale was AED 1,130,000 at AED 797/sqft, 4.1% above the same quarter last year. 7% of sales were off-plan.
Marsa Dubai was the busiest community with 821 registered sales, while Burj Khalifa took the most money at AED 2.10B.
Against the previous quarter, Palm Jumeirah rose 37% to 352 sales, while Jabal Ali First fell 58% to 65.
