Every figure below comes from sale transactions registered with the Dubai Land Department and dated inside Q1 2018. Mortgages and gifts are excluded; the register's own record of a sale is the only source.

The Land Department registered 8,682 property sales in Q1 2018, worth AED 19.17B in total, across 124 communities. That is 36% fewer than the same quarter a year earlier.
The median sale was AED 1,061,211 at AED 1,115/sqft, 15.4% above the same quarter last year. 47% of sales were off-plan.
Business Bay was the busiest community with 837 registered sales, and also took the most money at AED 1.76B.
Against the previous quarter, Al Merkadh rose 85% to 597 sales, while Jabal Ali Industrial Second fell 69% to 62.
